PETS Travel Scheme

Both Asela and Aggie are licensed Official Veterinarian's which means that they are able to advise on all aspects of the PETs travel scheme, the exportation of pets to unlisted countries and qualified to issue Pet Passports.

Pet passport requirements

  • a registered microchip
  • a valid rabies vaccination administered at least 21 days before travel. Regular rabies booster vaccinations are then required to keep the passport valid.
  • dogs must be treated for tapeworm by a vet 24 to 120 hours re-entering the UK. The vet must sign your pets passport to say that this has been done.

There is currently no madatory tick control within the PETs travel scheme but we higly recommend that you take precautions against these as they can easily spread infectious diseases.

Some countries have differing requirements so wherever you are travelling from it is important to check the latest UK Govenment Information about travelling with your pet well in advance of your trip. It is your responsibility as the pet owner to ensure that all requirements are met.
